Chris Sutton described Harry Kane as “unplayable” after the striker’s performance on Thursday night for Tottenham.
The England captain scored both goals in Spurs’ 2-0 home win against Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League last-16 first leg tie.
It’s been a season where the centre-forward has been in such incredible form, whether it be in terms of scoring or setting goals up.
The frontman now has 26 goals and 16 assists in 37 matches across all competition this campaign.
Sutton claimed in his post-match analysis that it was impossible for manager Jose Mourinho to leave him out of the XI.
Some felt that resting Kane and giving Carlos Vinicius an opportunity was an option last night, but the decision was justified with the former’s two-goal heroics.
“Absolutely unplayable. Harry Kane, such an integral part in what Spurs do,” Sutton told BT Sport 2 (11:15pm, 11 March).
“He’s their most important player. You can’t rest him with a game of this magnitude. Brilliant striker’s instinct [for the first goal]. We’ve seen this throughout his career.”

TBR’s View:
Vinicius knew what he signed up for when he joined Spurs on loan to play understudy to Kane, but even he must surely be amazed at his teammate’s qualities.
Last night proves how important Mourinho views the Europa League, as he included the likes of Kane, Heung-Min Son and Tanguy Ndombele in his XI.
You’d have to tie literally Kane down to keep him away from the North London derby this weekend, so beyond that it’s important that Mourinho does keep an eye on his fitness due to the fact he’s had problems in the past.
