Kieran Tierney continued his impressive form since the return to football as Arsenal earned a point against high-flying Leicester City – prompting reaction from both Celtic icon Chris Sutton and Trevor Sinclair.

Tierney, 23, joined Arsenal for a fee in the region of £25million last summer after 170 appearances for the Hoops and five Scottish Premiership medals. However, he initially struggled with injury following the move.

A hip injury prevented Tierney from making his debut until late September, and just a handful of matches later, Tierney sustained a dislocated shoulder against West Ham. But since the restart, he has impressed.

Starting five of Arsenal’s six Premier League games, Tierney has helped shore up a defence when playing in a back three – but also looked excellent going forward as a wing-back. He started and finished the draw against Leicester.

His presence has seen Bukayo Saka move further forward and shine as an attacker, with Saka previously coming into the side as a left-sided defender. But Tierney has delighted Celtic fans, as he is finally showing what he can do.

Sinclair, renowned for his support of Celtic on social media, and Hoops icon Sutton both reacted to Tierney’s performance on Twitter following the hotly-contested 1-1 draw – and both applauded his return to form.
