TBR Football understands that Chelsea already have plans in place for Ismael Doukoure with BlueCo rejecting a number of Premier League approaches in the summer.
Doukoure is currently contracted to Strasbourg, who are owned by BlueCo, much like the Blues.
The two clubs have been known to work together since the BlueCo ownership, with Chelsea often loaning players to ensure they provide them with more game time.
Chelsea also sanctioned Ben Chilwell’s move to Strasbourg during the summer after he failed to find a suitable move elsewhere.

Exclusive: Chelsea are plotting a move for Ismael Doukoure
TBR Football revealed in June that Newcastle were amongst a number of clubs keen on the French Under-21 international, but as we suggested, Chelsea have already made moves.
Doukoure was unsure about what BlueCo had planned for him long-term, given that his deal is due to expire in 2026, which led to the player considering a move.
However, we can confirm that a new deal was agreed with the 22-year-old, extending his stay with the football club.

Graeme Bailey said: “Part of the new deal, he was handed a significant pay rise, but he also signed knowing a pathway is in place for him to follow Strasbourg team-mate Emanuel Emegha to Stamford Bridge in 2026.
“We can confirm that Newcastle did make an approach, but so did Brighton, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, West Ham, and others in Europe and Saudi Arabia.”
With lots of interest in him, Doukoure certainly will have plenty of options moving forward, but Enzo Maresca might provide him with the best route to the Premier League.
Chelsea’s defensive options have been a concern this season
Chelsea’s interest in signing a defender is unsurprising because this has been an area of concern for the team this season.
TBR Football previously revealed that Chelsea have scouted Joel Ordonez, proving that the Blues are aware they need to strengthen in this area.
Bringing in Doukoure would provide an extra option for Maresca next season, and allowing him to develop further at Strasbourg throughout the current campaign won’t hurt his development.
