Chelsea have slapped a £50m asking price on the head of Tammy Abraham in the event any clubs want to cut short his loan deal at Aston Villa and buy him this January, according to the Daily Mirror.
As per the terms of the Englishman’s loan agreement, the Blues can reportedly opt to recall him from Villa Park until January 14, with a view to cashing in on him by selling him on.
But the Mirror report that if any potential suitors want to do that, they will have to pay an eye-watering £50m.
Abraham turned down the prospect of a second loan spell of the season – trading in the Championship for the Premier League with Wolves – and Villa now believe the only threat to keeping him lies with a purchase to tempt Chelsea.

But it is unlikely that a club would stump up such a staggering amount of money for a player unproven in the top flight in the matter of days remaining before Chelsea’s option to recall him runs out.
Abraham has now underlined his desire to stay at Villa and now surely no club will take the decision out of his hands by matching Chelsea’s asking price; Dean Smith can rest a little easier thanks to a major boost from the Bridge.
