There’s a huge Premier League clash on the horizon over the weekend as Chelsea welcome Liverpool to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are looking to bounce back after a rocky patch of form that has seen them pick up poor results in the Premier League and Champions League.

With so many key injuries, Enzo Maresca will be looking at the ways he can utilise his full Chelsea squad to have the best chance of beating Liverpool.

The Reds are in a tough moment themselves, having suffered their first loss in the league, followed by defeat in Europe.

Arne Slot will have to find solutions, and fast, as his team are prepared for a tough trip to the capital.

So, with that said, here’s a look at everything you need to know ahead of Chelsea vs Liverpool.

Chelsea injury updates

Chelsea could have as many as nine players absent for the clash with Liverpool, coming as something of a selection crisis for Maresca.

Levi Colwill, Liam Delap and Dario Essugo are sidelined with long-term injury concerns, while Mykhailo Mudryk remains unavailable for selection.

Cole Palmer and Tosin Adarabioyo are unlikely to return until after the international break.

Wesley Fofana and Andrey Santos are doubts, but could feature in the match.

Liverpool injury news

Injuries are starting to build up a little for Liverpool, as Slot is left to deal with some issues within his squad.

Giovanni Leoni picked up a serious knee injury that is set to keep him out for months.

Both Hugo Ekitike and Alisson Becker picked up injury troubles in Liverpool’s defeat to Galatasaray, leaving them with potential spells out.

Federico Chiesa is a doubt after a small problem picked up against Crystal Palace.

Chelsea vs Liverpool prediction

Neither team is exactly in form, and that can create some interesting narratives heading into the game.

Chelsea’s struggles have gone beyond results and into performances, as they have failed to gel properly after a busy summer.

While Liverpool haven’t looked the most convincing, they still have enough talent to put the Blues to the sword.

Prediction: Chelsea 0-2 Liverpool.
