Chelsea are best placed to sign Barcelona attacker Antoine Griezmann, according to Spanish outlet Sport. The 30-year-old could be allowed to leave the Spanish giants during the summer transfer window.
Barcelona are in the midst of a financial crisis. They have some serious issues with regards to player registrations and some players will have to leave.
Now, it’s claimed that Chelsea are leading Juventus, Manchester City and Manchester United in the race to sign the France international.

Griezmann had a pretty decent campaign during 2020/21. He fired 20 goals from 51 appearances in all competitions, with Barca largely underwhelming.
The attacker operated largely in the No.10 role for France at Euro 2020. He has showcased in the past, however, an ability to be versatile in a front three.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel will be hoping to stamp his own mark on the squad this summer. He enjoyed a quality end to last season, winning the Champions League.
Some attackers are likely to be the priority for the Blues. Griezmann would certainly represent an experienced and classy option for the team.
The player joined Barcelona for £107 million. They’re unlikely to get anywhere close to that fee for him, whilst the player is also on nearly £600,000-a-week.
Didier Deschamps had high praise for the player at Euro 2020. He called him ‘one of the greatest players of all time’ and ‘remarkable’ despite France losing at the round of 16 stage.
Chelsea could do worse than sign Griezmann
The France star is a proven performer and had 94 caps to his name. He’s also excelled at both Atletico Madrid and Barcelona during his club career.
Griezmann has three years remaining on his deal in Spain. As a result, Barcelona will want to recoup a pretty decent fee for their player.

His versatility to play in a number of advanced roles makes him a decent addition. Chelsea could use his expertise in the final third and he’d bring some real quality to the ranks.
Griezmann would perhaps only represent a short-term addition, but the influence he could have on the younger lads would be massive.
