Chelsea transfer: Blues fans react as striker is linked with Arsenal

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has been linked with a summer move to Arsenal, according to The Telegraph. He is a wanted man and his services will command a fee in the region of £40 million.

Abraham was snubbed for the Champions League Final in May. As a result, he is expected to fall down the pecking order once Thomas Tuchel has shuffled his attacking options this summer.

The 23-year-old scored 12 goals and registered six assists from his 32 appearances in all competitions during 2020/21. He started just 18 of his total outings.

Arsenal are in the market for a new striker of their own. Doubts surround Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah with both players thought to be available for transfer.

Then there is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Boss Mikel Arteta often prefers to play him out wide and a new focal point is required up top.

Abraham was a regular in the Chelsea team during the 2019/20 campaign. Under Frank Lampard’s management, he managed 18 goals and claimed six assists.

Now, it seems as though Arsenal are ready to swoop on their London rivals in an attempt to take the £82,000-a-week player to the Emirates Stadium.

Abraham exit: Chelsea fans not keen on letting striker join rival club

This could get quite interesting. Abraham quitting Chelsea to join Arsenal would be quite something and it’s going to be a fascinating few weeks.

The striker might fancy staying in London and as a result, a move to Arsenal could be quite appealing.

Abraham does still have something to prove in the Premier League and surely he’d fancy sticking around in England.

Chelsea fans aren’t keen on the move though. They don’t want to see another London club strengthened, whilst some think he can still do a job at Stamford Bridge.

Here is what the fan base had to say on Twitter as reports linked the England striker with a move to Arsenal this summer.
