Sky Sports claim that John Terry could leave the club this month after Bournemouth made an enquiry to take him on loan for the rest of the season. The south coast club are desperate for defensive cover after Antonio Conte opted to recall in-form Nathan Ake from his temporary stay at the club.
The 36-year-old was sent off in his first appearance in two months against Peterborough on Sunday but he would still leave the club as a legend after making 681 appearances for the club since his debut in 1998.
Conte has also been busy and is said to have made a bid for Bayer Leverkusen star Hakan Calhanoglu, according to Turkish-Football. The 22-year-old is in great form and has developed a reputation for his superb record of taking set pieces, and he could now arrive at Stamford Bridge to provide an alternative up front.
With five goals and six assists in 20 games this season, the Turkish international has caught the eye of a number of big clubs including Manchester United, but Turkish sources now believe that Chelsea have made the first move in their pursuit of the wide man.
The decision to recall Nathan Ake from Bournemouth has been explained in the Evening Standard, who report that Ake is being considered as a makeshift alternative as a left wing back due to ongoing injury concerns over Marcos Alonso, who is playing through the pain barrier and has done since August.
The Spaniard reportedly suffers from muscle discomfort in his upper leg but has continued to play, but a new signing or the return of Ake may allow him some time on the sidelines to recover before more damage is done. Over the last few weeks the pain is said to have increased, with his performances worsening as a result.
