Chelsea supporters react as Tottenham reportedly eye Jose Mourinho reunion

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma this summer as Jose Mourinho looks to replace the imminent departure of Jan Vertonghen – and Chelsea supporters have reacted on Twitter.

Vertonghen, 33, is out of contract this summer and although he has been offered a renewal until the end of the season, the chances of him remaining at Spurs for the 2020-21 campaign is unlikely. A replacement is required, then.

French outlet RMC Sport have suggested that Zouma, 25, has been put forward by Mourinho to the Tottenham board as a potential signing. The France international has clocked up 33 appearances this season for Chelsea.

Indeed, Zouma has been more involved with Chelsea’s senior side than ever before under Frank Lampard – since Mourinho lured him to Chelsea from St. Etienne. It must be said that he has been on loan three times, and suffered a huge knee injury.

Chelsea have plenty of options at the heart of their defence, with Zouma rivalling the likes of Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and Fikayo Tomori for a place in the starting line-up.

Chelsea supporters reacted to the news that Tottenham want their defender in the coming months as Jose Mourinho looks to form a reunion with himself and the former St. Etienne ace – and many want him sold.
