Chelsea: Striker’s £130million price-tag; interest in Inter forward; Conte discusses goalkeeper bid

The Sunday Times believe that Chelsea have slapped a price tag of £130 million on Diego Costa’s head, with the club confident that they will receive the world record transfer fee this month or in the summer. Unlike many reports, they suggest that the club are open to the notion of selling the 28-year-old this month to avoid destabilising a title challenge with his disruptive influence.

Costa has been subject to plenty of interest from China and reports suggest that his former teammate Oscar has been encouraging the striker to join him in the Chinese Super League after making his own move earlier this month.

An alternative option may be Inter Milan forward Ivan Perisic, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. They report that Chelsea are one of a number of Premier League clubs to be keeping an eye on the Croatian 27-year-old who plays on the left wing.

He has been in impressive form with seven goals in 19 games from out wide this season, and Chelsea could look to bring him to London for the same reasons that they are believed to be monitoring Calhanoglu.

After rumours of a bid from Bournemouth for goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, Antonio Conte seemingly confirmed that an offer has been made for the Serbian. The Express quote Conte as saying:

First of all, Asmir is an important player on and off the pitch. He knows this and there is this offer and me and the club are waiting but it is important to find the right solution for Asmir, the club and me… There is one offer and now me and the club are good to see the situation and face it to find the right solution. We are waiting on it.

Second choice ever since moving to Stamford Bridge, Begovic may be keen to jump at the opportunity to re-establish himself as first choice elsewhere, but the Blues may want to find a replacement first.
