Ryan Sessegnon netted his first goal for loan side Hoffenheim on Saturday afternoon as the Tottenham star stroked home an effort during a 3-3 draw with Stuttgart in the German Bundesliga – and plenty have responded to his Instagram post.

Sessegnon, 20, joined Hoffenheim on a season-long loan from Tottenham towards the end of the summer window – after failing to gain any kind of regular game time under Spurs boss Jose Mourinho, since Mourinho replaced Mauricio Pochettino.

He has since been used at left-back and on the left side of midfield with Hoffenheim, finding his feet in their recent matches. In what was his seventh appearance for the top-tier German club, Sessegnon netted his first Hoffenheim goal.

Sessegnon has posted on Instagram after the match in frustrated manner, as his side failed to nab three points but was clearly delighted to score his first goal for Hoffenheim – leaving the Europa League outfit in 12th place in the Bundesliga table.

Sessegnon is likely to be in action during the week, too. Hoffenheim take to the Europa League stage on Thursday night, as they travel to the Czech Republic to take on Slovan Liberec. They have nine points from three European group games.

Plenty of plaudits came the way of Sessegnon after his first goal for Hoffenheim, with Spurs star Steven Bergwijn and Fulham captain Tom Cairney responding. Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi and Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham also commented.
