Chelsea star Thiago Silva sends Instagram message to Tottenham Hotspur duo
Thiago Silva helped Chelsea keep another Premier League clean sheet on Sunday evening as Frank Lampard’s men kept out league leaders Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge – and the Blues skipper sent an Instagram message to two Spurs players.
Silva, 36, has helped Chelsea keep four clean sheets in his last five Premier League appearances – despite coming up against the in-form duo of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min. On Sunday, Chelsea were impressively solid and Silva was at the heart of that.
The two London rivals played out a 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge, which sees Chelsea remain in third place – two points behind Tottenham, who returned to the top of the league after Liverpool failed to beat Brighton on Saturday.

Tottenham, meanwhile, have also been excellent at the back – with Jose Mourinho’s side currently boasting the best defence in the Premier League having conceded just nine goals in 10 league games. Eric Dier’s resurgence has been key to that.
Silva joined Chelsea from PSG in the summer, having won seven Ligue 1 titles with the French club and playing more than 300 appearances. During his time at PSG, he played alongside two Tottenham players – Lucas Moura and Serge Aurier.
Aurier started and finished the match on the right side of the defence, while Lucas came on in injury time in place of Son. Silva took to Instagram after the match to send a heartfelt message to his two former teammates.
His post, on his story, is translated as: “Rivals now, enemies never. Love you.”
