Reports in Italy, from newspaper La Repubblica, sensationally claim that homesickness and a lack of belief that Roman Abramovich will invest sufficiently to bring the squad up to scratch for a Champions League campaign could cause Antonio Conte to quit the club after just one season in the Stamford Bridge dugout.
The former Italy boss has worked wonders at the club this season, taking the side back to the top of the table and favourites for the Premier League title, but these rumours could suggest that he is not going to be the man to take the club forward in the long term despite this initial success. Whether these reports are accurate or not remains unclear, but it is likely that the club will wish to squash any speculation that could derail a title bid.
The Telegraph report that Cesc Fabregas could follow him out of the exit door and to Italy, as they believe that AC Milan could make a £27 million bid for the Spaniard, which could be enough to encourage the former Barcelona man to quit the club given his lack of game time in the Premier League.

The 29-year-old is thought to have rejected moves both last summer and January and has been keen to prove a point at Stamford Bridge, but such a substantial financial offer may encourage him to leave with Chelsea believed to be hoping to sell.
N’Golo Kante has been busy in the press though as he has praised someone who may see that money spent on him, as he told the Scottish Sun that Celtic striker Moussa Dembele deserves an international call-up to the France squad:
“If Dembele is called up, it will be fully deserved. You do not score the amount of goals that he has scored this season and it goes unnoticed. He has been one of the most prolific strikers in Europe this season. He must be playing with so much confidence and that is always one of the most important things for a striker.”
Currently, with the under 21 set up, the prolific striker has been linked with a more from the SPL to London to show his quality for Chelsea having struggled at their city rivals Fulham last season.
