Antonio Conte has been impressed by the performance of his Spanish players, like Pedro, Marcos Alonso, Cesar Azpilicueta, Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas, and believes that Isco could be another key addition to building a solid spine to his team. With both Manchester clubs and Arsenal also said to be monitoring the ex-Malaga man’s situation, the Blues may have to act quickly to secure his services.

Both the Sun and the Express are reporting on claims in Bild that German side Borussia Monchengladbach are preparing a move for young midfielder Reuben Loftus-Cheek. The youngster has struggled for game time this season and could be tempted by the opportunity to feature for a team that figured in the Champions League this season.

The central midfielder has been trialled as one of Chelsea’s wide forwards by Antonio Conte and had also been linked with a loan move away in the January transfer window but no deal was forthcoming.

Just as one Serbian defender leaves Chelsea, it seems that another could be on his way in. Central defender Vukasin Jovanovic, a Serbian international currently on loan from Zenit St. Petersburg at French club Bordeaux that he would love a move to the club. The 20-year-old told Sports Daily, quoted by the Daily Star and 90min:

“I would like to play in England, against the biggest teams on the planet. I want to play in the Champions League. What club? Chelsea.”

Whether that dream will ever become a reality could depend upon how he fares this season in France, but the club are on the lookout for a defender. Whether Jovanovic is a potential target or not is unknown.
