The Sun report that Chelsea and Arsenal are both tracking Manchester United winger Jesse Lingard as the England international prepares to enter into the final 12 months of his contract, which is due to expire in the summer of 2018 with negotiations over a new deal still ongoing.
With just 15 starts in all competitions and only nine in the Premier League, Lingard has not featured as regularly as he may have liked under Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford and may well consider a move away as a result. With two of his four goals coming at Wembley this season in the EFL Cup final and Community Shield, he is sure to have caught the eye.
Another reported summer target is Sevilla’s Steven N’Zonzi and the Mirror believe that Antonio Conte will go head to head with Pep Guardiola in his pursuit of the former Blackburn and Stoke man who moved to La Liga for just £7 million when he left the Potteries to head to Spain.
The 28-year-old is believed to have a £25 million release clause which would represent great value for money for a player who has been lauded as one of the best in Spain for his performances under Unai Emery and now Jorge Sampaoli, winning the Europa League last season and propelling his team into title contention this campaign.
The Times have made a shock revelation as they report that John Terry could leave Stamford Bridge for another Premier League club, contradicting previous reports that he would only pursue opportunities abroad after spending his entire senior career with the Blues.
They claim that Terry received offers to leave the club in January from Stoke and West Brom and enjoys a good relationship with Stoke manager Mark Hughes, with any offer from those clubs in the summer likely to be seriously considered.
