Sky Italia journalist Massimo Marianella has revealed that he has been informed that a move for Romelu Lukaku to west London is very close to completion as just one of several summer additions, with CalcioMercato and the Sun reporting on his quotes in which he stated:

“I think many big players will join Chelsea in the summer as Conte wants the Blues to become credible contenders for the Champions League win. I can say Lukaku’s Chelsea move is almost done deal and reports in England claim Alexis Sanchez will also play for Chelsea next season. Many other players could also arrive [at Chelsea].”

The Belgian has reportedly refused to sign a new deal at Goodison Park and could now be set for a big-money move back to the club which he first joined in England in the form of Chelsea. He never worked his way into the first team previously and was sent out on loan before joining Everton permanently.

After one of his close friends had hinted that an offer to move elsewhere could tempt him to consider an exit from the club after just one successful season, Antonio Conte has denied that he will be going anywhere as he told the press, as quoted by the Telegraph:

“If someone wants to know something about me, then they must ask me. We’re fighting for the title and we want to achieve this goal, then we’ll try to build something important together. [Will he be here for the next year?] Yes, for the next season.”

The Italian could win two trophies in his first season as the Blues look to secure the FA Cup trophy as well as the Premier League title which they continue to edge nearer to winning as we come to the business end of the season. It’s a massive boost for Chelsea who can now look to their long term plan under Conte.

He is already looking forward to their potential summer additions as the Mirror say that the club are confident of signing Schalke left-back Sead Kolasinac on a free transfer in the summer when his contract in the Bundesliga expires, with talks already taking place with the Serbian.

Potentially a competitor for Marcos Alonso on the left-flank, Kolasinac has attracted interest from a host of Premier League clubs with Liverpool, Manchester City and Everton among those to be linked with having made him an offer to move to England.
