Tuttosport have sensationally claimed that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is set to leave the club and head to Inter Milan, with the San Siro club’s new owners keen to make a real statement of intent with their next managerial appointment and offer the former Juventus boss a return home to Italy after reports of him being homesick in London.

The report would suggest that a summer exit could be on the cards, but Chelsea will undoubtedly be doing all they can to prevent that given the success of his first season in charge with the club leading the title race by some distance as Conte has once again made the team a force to be reckoned with.

However, if there has been one disappointment for the Blues this season it would be the performances of £33 million summer signing Michy Batshuayi. Now, the Mirror state that the club are ready to cut their losses and make him available for transfer in the summer as they are still yet to be convinced that he can establish himself in the first team.

The 23-year-old has scored five goals in 21 games so far this season, but has made just five starts with none of them coming in the Premier League. Linked with a loan move back to France or to West Ham in January, they could again become options as permanent destinations for the Belgian.

One player who has come back from the brink of an exit from the club is Victor Moses, who yesterday signed a four year contract extension. He told the club website:

“I feel very excited. I’m delighted to be here for another few years now and to sign a new deal. Now it’s time to concentrate on the team and keep working hard to make sure we win games and try to win the Premier League this season. We’re having a great season, I’m enjoying my football and we have a good manager here that has given every single one of us confidence. I just want to keep on enjoying it and working hard for the team.”

A key figure this season in the right wing back role, Moses has surprised many with his performances given that he was expected to leave the club in the summer after a disappointing loan spell at West Ham last season.
