Reports originating from the Daily Mail indicate that even if he is victorious on Saturday night in the Champions League final against Real Madrid, Juventus right-back Dani Alves could still leave the club this summer with Chelsea interested alongside Manchester City and Tottenham as the trio of Premier League clubs consider bringing the Brazilian to England.
The 34-year-old has been in sensational form for the Italian outfit since joining on a free transfer from Barcelona last summer but could leave the club despite having a year left on his contract as Massimiliano Allegri plans to look towards the future with his transfer activity this transfer window.
If he does join, he will team up with Eden Hazard after the Belgian told Singapore based newspaper the Straits Times that he will remain at Stamford Bridge for at least two more years despite interest from Real Madrid as he revealed:
“I’m good here. I’m at one of the best clubs in the world and I think I’m gonna stay for a couple of years. I’m very happy. You can see on the pitch that I’m happy. Next season, we will have the Champions League to play but we want to keep the Premier League trophy in Chelsea. It’s going to be hard but we know [people] expect a lot from Chelsea now. But now is the time to think about holidays.”
The left sided forward was a contender for a number of individual awards and his decision to stay in London is a huge boost for the club as they look towards the 2017/18 season with Roman Abramovich planning to back Antonio Conte to strengthen his squad.
That could include the signing of Celtic striker Moussa Dembele as the Daily Record claim that Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund are both monitoring the Frenchman. The 20-year-old has scored an impressive 32 goals and recorded a further nine assists in 49 games in all competitions in his debut season in Scotland.
Since joining from Fulham for a fee believed to be just £500,000, Dembele has become a key figure under Brendan Rodgers who remains adamant that he will not be sold, potentially even if his £30 million price tag is met.
