The Mirror sensationally report that Chelsea could look to scupper Real Madrid’s plans to make a move for Sergio Aguero, by themselves making a £75 million bid for the Argentinean striker who has found himself on the bench at the Etihad due to Gabriel Jesus’ fine form since his arrival.

Aguero has seemingly struggled to convince Pep Guardiola that he should be first choice for the Citizens despite his superb track record, and with Diego Costa potentially on the move, Aguero would be a ready made replacement with a proven history in the Premier League.

A more concerning megabucks move could see Antonio Conte approached by Inter Milan as both Sky Sports and Metro cite Italian newspaper Tuttosport as claiming that the San Siro outfit will make an approach for the manager, offering him £250,000 per week and a £350 million transfer budget.

The club have been well financed since their takeover and have been rumoured to be making a number of high profile moves, with Conte only the latest name to be linked as the man who could potentially lead the rebuilding of the side as they seek to become European giants once again.

Back in London, Conte has reportedly been mulling over a move for Newcastle United goalkeeper Karl Darlow, who is valued at £8 million, claim the Mirror. With Asmir Begovic set to depart in search of first team football, as he nearly did in January, Darlow is seen as a potential replacement, who would also fill his role as a homegrown player.

The Magpies made it clear to Chelsea that Darlow would not be available in January as they seek a return to the Premier League at the first time of asking, but a summer move may be more viable.
