Antonio Conte has given his approval for a £25 million move for Inter Milan winger Antonio Candreva, according to the Mirror. Inter are prepared to sell at that price and could see Conte reunite with the 30-year-old, who could provide cover at wing-back and add a more offensive option on both flanks.
The experienced Italian played under the Chelsea boss with the Italian national side and was a key part of his side, including at Euro 2016. Signing him would represent a safe option for Conte, who would be knowing exactly what he is about to get by bringing the winger to Stamford Bridge.
Another player who may follow him to support the front line could be Paris Saint-Germain attacking midfielder Julian Draxler. Chelsea are just one of four Premier League clubs to have enquired regarding his availability this summer, according to The Gambling Times.
The arrival of Neymar could see the German international put an early end to his spell in Ligue Un, despite only joining from Wolfsburg in January. He could provide another option alongside the likes of Eden Hazard and Pedro on the flanks, with his creativity and huge potential bound to attract interest from clubs like Chelsea at Europe’s elite level.
One player already at his peak is someone who Chelsea are desperately trying to get rid of in the form of striker Diego Costa. With his preferred destination Atletico Madrid yet to meet Chelsea’s asking price, Spanish source Don Balon believe that Liverpool could launch a shock move.
The report indicates that if Liverpool do opt to cash in this summer and sell Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona, they may use the money to fund a move for Costa. It seems highly unlikely, but with AC Milan also interested, it may force the Spanish side to move more quickly to secure his signature.
