Chelsea manager Frank Lampard wants to add Derby County goalkeeping coach Shay Given to his staff, according to the Daily Mail.
They report that the Blues wanted Given in the summer, when Lampard returned to his former club as manager and took Jody Morris and Chris Jones with him.
Given didn’t go at that stage, because the Stamford Bridge were keen to promote Hilario, as part of a drive which saw them bring a number of former players back to the club.
But Lampard is apparently becoming concerned about the form of goalkeeper Kepa and views Given as the man who can help the Spaniard improve.

TBR’s View – Derby don’t need more upheaval
The lure of the Premier League is demonstrated by the way Chelsea swiftly took Lampard, Morris and Jones away in the summer and the feeling persists that Given would have gone if they had forced the issue.
Now the season has started – and Derby have had the problems they’ve had – they don’t need any more disruption but it would not be a surprise at all if Given was tempted away.
That would make a tough season even more challenging again for Phillip Cocu but it would not be a surprise if he was already preparing a replacement just so Given’s departure can be swiftly put behind him if it occurs.
