Chelsea predicted team: Saul and Havertz to start v Juventus

Chelsea travel to Turin tonight to face Juventus and Thomas Tuchel will look to put another three points on the board in the Champions League.

The Blues were made to work by a dogged Zenit side in their curtain-raiser two weeks ago and the champions will hope to hit top form in the competition as it progresses.

Tuchel has some problems tonight. Mason Mount, Reece James and Christian Pulisic are all out; with N’Golo Kante also missing.

Jorginho came off against Manchester City at the weekend, although Tuchel hopes to have him fit.

Juventus have made a lousy start to their campaign, although their squad is still brimming with quality.

Ahead of this evening’s clash, we looked at how Tuchel could line up in Italy.

Chelsea predicted team to play Juventus:

In goal and back three

Edouard Mendy returned at the weekend and should keep his place between the posts.

Thiago Silva is likely to line up at the heart of the back three. The Brazilian has been fantastic and is integral to Chelsea’s fortunes.

He will be flanked by Andreas Christensen and Antoni Rudiger.

Wing-backs and midfield

Cesar Azpilcueta will revert to right wing-back in the absence of Reece James.

Marcos Alonso has made a fine start to the campaign and should keep his place on the left.

Tuchel will hope to have Jorginho fit but if not Saul Niguez could come in for a start.

The 28-year-old has struggled a bit since checking in and he will hope to lay down a marker if called upon.

Mateo Kovacic seems a cert to play.

In attack

Romelu Lukaku will spearhead the attack once again.

He was the hero of the hour last time out in the Champions League and he’ll hope to star once again.

Behind him, Kai Havertz will almost certainly play.

The £150,000-a-week player is really coming of age and looks like thriving under Tuchel.

Operating alongside him could be Hakim Ziyech.

The jury remains out on the former Ajax man and he could do with a good run of form in the near future.
