At his best, he seemed to be doing all he could to earn a place in the starting eleven at Wembley for the FA Cup final and he couldn’t have done too much more. Bright and energetic, he took his goal well.

Diego Costa – 7

Booked for dissent and appeared frustrated for much of the game, he was involved in a tough physical battle as always and was clearly not happy to be taken off on the hour mark.

Eden Hazard – 9

Created chances left right and centre, his finish past Jordan Pickford was exquisite to give his side the lead and he held nothing back and showed just how important he is to this team.
