Played every minute of the Premier League season and still looked as fresh as a daisy even in the final minutes of his 38th game. Like the rest of the campaign, he was assured and confident in possession.

David Luiz – 8

Unfortunate that the ball deflected off him to allow Javier Manquillo in to score in the third minute, but from that moment on he was reliable and solid, denying Sunderland any opportunity to find a way through.

John Terry – 7

A Chelsea legend took his bow, coming off in the 26th minute to match his shirt number. As throughout his career, the captain was rock solid and won everything in the air.
