Just what was the wing-back thinking? A ridiculous decision to dive right in the face of referee Anthony Taylor when already on a yellow card, it summed up an awful afternoon.

N’Golo Kante – 5

Whilst it would be harsh, some will question why he cleared the ball up into the area of Alexis Sanchez for him to seemingly handle the ball to start the move that led to the opening goal. An unusually sloppy game from the Frenchman.

Nemanja Matic – 4

Clearly off the pace and he just seemed to be going through the motions. Offered nothing on the attack and little defensively as Arsenal piled on the pressure. A shadow of his usual self.

Marcos Alonso – 5

Offered next to nothing down the left flank despite giving it his all. His afternoon was best summer up when he blasted a free-kick well over the bar from 20 yards in a hugely frustrating performance, where he never really seemed to get going.
