Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has been linked with Premier League rivals Chelsea in recent weeks.
However, a fresh report from TEAMtalk has now claimed that Mauricio Pochettino‘s Blues have dropped out of the race to sign the Gunners man.
Ramsdale‘s Arsenal future has been the subject of speculation for a few months now, following his fall down the Gunners pecking order.
The goalkeeper joined Arsenal in 2021 for a reported £30million and quickly dethroned Bernd Leno to become first-choice in between the sticks.
Ramsdale was the Gunners first-choice stopper for two seasons, but this changed earlier this season after Arsenal signed David Raya and eventually made him No. 1.

This has led to speculation linking Ramsdale with other clubs, including Chelsea. However, TEAMtalk says sources have indicated that they won’t be moving for him now.
The Blues do not think the England international fits the profile they are looking for and Arsenal, for their part, are not planning to strengthen their rivals, added the report.
Indeed, the Gunners reportedly want to keep hold of Ramsdale until at least the end of the season, instead of scrambling around looking for a new keeper in January.
Arsenal unlikely to sell Aaron Ramsdale in January – TBR View
Ramsdale is an “unbelievable” talent and he certainly deserves to be playing first-team football.
However, you can understand why Arsenal seemingly don’t want to sell him in January.
At present, if Raya gets injured or suspended, Ramsdale can come in and there’s no drop off in quality.
The Gunners could obviously bring another second-choice keeper in and then sell Ramsdale in January… but why go through all the trouble of doing this mid-season when they can just do it in the summer?
Arsenal won’t be losing sleep over the fact Chelsea have reportedly cooled their interest in Ramsdale.
Indeed, they probably see it as good news, because strengthening a direct rival mid-season isn’t very logical and it saves them the trouble and effort of having to reject their approaches.
