After joining his teammate Yannick Bolasie on the phone to TalkSPORT, Everton striker Romelu Lukaku played down rumours linking him with a return to his former club Chelsea. The Belgian told the radio station:

“At the moment, I’m just focused on the season. I’m not reading anything about it, I’m just focused with the team and whatever you guys write is whatever you write.”

With rumours of a Diego Costa exit in the summer, Lukaku would seemingly be a ready made replacement for the Spanish international given his physicality and strength which is something few top quality strikers can offer.

Chelsea and Liverpool are both said to be considering getting ahead of the crowd by making a January bid for Genk forward Leon Bailey, who is valued by the Belgian club at £20 million. The Daily Mail say that the likes of Nice, Roma, Bayer Leverkusen, Everton and Bournemouth are among the numerous clubs to also be monitoring the wideman.

Capable of playing on both the left and the right, the 19-year-old was expected to depart in the summer after scoring eight goals in 34 games so far this season, but the two Premier League clubs could seek to gain an advantage by making early moves for the Jamaican.

Sky Sports have issued a report to rubbish claims previously made that Diego Costa had been fined before returning to training after a bust up with Antonio Conte and his coaching team regarding his back injury amid interest from China.

It is expected that the former Atletico striker will leave the club in the summer, but he has now rejoined training with the group and has seemingly regained focus upon the Blues title challenge. Conte will certainly need his top scorer on form for the remainder of the season and not fining him may be a wise move to keep him happy until his inevitable departure.
