Chelsea supporters were impressed by Tyrique George’s cameo off the bench against Southampton as the winger secured his first Premier League assist.
The 19-year-old became the youngest Chelsea player to register an assist in the league since Callum Hudson-Odoi in 2019.
Despite only playing 22 minutes against the Saints, Chelsea fans chanted George’s name after he set up Marc Cucurella’s goal.
The Stamford Bridge faithful made their thoughts clear in the stands and now supporters have taken to social media to make the same point about one of the latest Cobham graduates.

Chelsea fans were left super impressed by Tyrique George’s performance against Southampton as the youngster continues to prove himself to Enzo Maresca.
George was already being considered by Maresca and now after yet another strong showing the Italian is surely close to handing him his first Premier League start against Ipswich Town.
Levi Colwill was also impressed by George claiming that the teenager looks to have a bright future ahead of him.
After the 4-0 win and his first assist, the Blues’ supporters took to X to share their thoughts on the winger’s strong cameo.
One fan claimed: “Tyrique George is ready. Not calling him a starter yet but a very good option to have in a squad. No need to loan him next season. Give him minutes and with time he’ll be there.”
Another supporter said: “Just seen Tyrique George created three chances and one big chance in 22 minutes, absolute baller.”
“I’ll always believe in Tyrique George. Another top cameo from him today. Should be starting all the conference league games,” stated another supporter.
There was yet more praise for George: “Tyrique George deserves to start against Leicester ahead of Sancho. That was a really classy cameo off the bench. Technically sound, a threat in behind, creative and direct. Really impressive.”
What did Enzo Maresca make of Tyrique George vs Southampton?
Maresca admitted that he enjoyed having the chance to give some of Chelsea’s young players minutes against Southampton.
George was joined by fellow youngsters Josh Acheampong, Mathis Amougou and Shim Mheuka in coming off the bench against the Saints.
When asked about giving young players, like George, minutes against Southampton, Marseca told TNT Sports: “It’s nice to see, it was also the game where we could give the young players some minutes but for sure Chelsea’s academy has always been good. Hopefully, we can have more players like Levi (Colwill).
When asked about George’s chances of playing in the Conference League, the Italian added: “Yes. Especially because we have the Conference League and then Leicester.
“For us, the priority is to take the club to where it needs to be – which is the Champions League.”
