Chelsea fans react to links with Leeds loanee Ben White

A number of Chelsea fans have taken to Twitter to react to reports from The Sun over the weekend suggesting that the Blues are plotting a January bid for Leeds United loanee Ben White.

White has been a revelation since moving to Leeds from Brighton in the summer. The centre-back has started every league game for Marcelo Bielsa’s side this term. And he has helped Leeds keep the best defensive record in the Championship.

Unsurprisingly, his form has not gone unnoticed. The Sun reports that Frank Lampard is keen on signing the 22-year-old and is planning to make a January bid for the defender.

The report notes that Chelsea could make a £25 million bid for White, who is seen as a potential alternative target to Nathan Ake.

The reports appear to have divided some of the Chelsea supporters on social media. Some do not appear to be overly impressed with the rumours. The youngster is yet to play at the highest level.

However, it appears that those who have seen White play believe that he would be a brilliant signing for the Blues. Despite the asking price, plenty clearly feel that the Leeds loanee would be a worthwhile addition to Lampard ranks.

Leeds fans will certainly be hoping that there is nothing in the links. But it appears that a number of Chelsea supporters have given a potential bid their approval.
