West Ham are reportedly interested in raiding London rivals Chelsea for striker Tammy Abraham as they look to bring in competition for Michail Antonio – and Chelsea supporters are seemingly willing to wave goodbye to the England international.
The Hammers failed to replace the loss of Sebastian Haller in the summer. The French striker moved to Ajax where he has since had 12 goals involvements in 11 games – scoring seven and creating five. Antonio is being worked hard.
Indeed, West Ham did make an offer for Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri – according to reports – but a move fell through. Now, the Daily Star have claimed that West Ham are considering three London-based strikers, and one of those is Abraham.
The England star has only started 18 of his 30 league and cup games this season but has still managed to find the back of the net 12 times. The Star claim West Ham are keen, but also have Brentford’s Ivan Toney and Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah in their sights.
Chelsea fans have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that Abraham has emerged as a target for West Ham and while many suggested a swap deal with Declan Rice, others are seemingly open to his exit – with one fan confident they can get £60million.
