Chelsea teenager Marc Guehi is being reportedly eyed by Championship side Nottingham Forest as well as a handful of Premier League and Championship clubs – and Chelsea fans think a loan deal for Guehi would be ideal.
The Sun have claimed that Norwich City and Southampton are keen to sign the 19-year-old defender, who is one of the many Chelsea academy products to have made his debut for the club under Frank Lampard this season.
Indeed, Guehi played every single minute of Chelsea’s Carabao Cup campaign – helping the Blues beat Grimsby Town 7-1 but failed to prevent Manchester United from winning 2-1 at Stamford Bridge. He has also broken into the England Under-21 team.
The Ivory Coast-born defender has also played 15 times for Chelsea’s second string, captaining the reserves in all 15. The defender is strong in the air and renowned for his power, but is also more than comfortable with the ball at his feet.
Souhampton and Norwich are interested in Guehi, as well as Championship trio Swansea, Bristol City and Forest. A loan move is the expected move, with Guehi highly-rated at Chelsea and boasting a contract until the summer of 2022.
Chelsea fans reacted to the reports that Guehi could be loaned out with Forest a potential new home for the young England defender, with many stating that a loan would suit all parties.
It will be a good deal.
