Chelsea fans react as Newcastle reportedly eye £14million move to sign midfielder Conor Gallagher
Newcastle United are reportedly eyeing a £14million move to sign Chelsea star Conor Gallagher – and Blues fans have reacted on Twitter to the news.
Gallagher, 21, has been sensational for Palace since joining Patrick Vieira’s side on a season-long loan. He is already crucial to Palace’s system.
The midfielder made his name initially at Swansea in the Championship, producing seven assists in 21 games during a half-season loan.
Then, he joined West Brom last term on loan and was a rare shining light in a side that were relegated. His form earned him a move to Selhurst Park.
His form continues to rise. Already, he has three goal involvements – a brace against West Ham, before winning a penalty against Tottenham.
Gallagher’s form is seemingly attracting attention. Newcastle’s new owners are tempted, but he does have four years left on his Chelsea contract.
What are Chelsea fans saying as Newcastle eye Gallagher?
That has not been overlooked by Blues fans on social media. While the majority are willing to wave goodbye to Gallagher, they want a fair price.
Many named their price for Gallagher – perhaps, also, because Newcastle’s new owners make the Toon the richest club in world football, right now.
