Fans react to Chelsea star Kai Havertz during Germany win
Germany thrashed Macedonia 4-0 last night with Chelsea playmaker Kai Havertz among the goalscorers. Blues striker Timo Werner also netted a brace during the game.
It was the form of Havertz that caught the eye though. He was in mesmerising mood as Germany qualified for the World Cup in Qatar next year.
He displayed some neat touches and took his Chelsea form to the international stage with him. Now, Havertz will return to Stamford Bridge looking to help maintain a title push.
Havertz has slowly but surely started to prove his worth at Chelsea. His winner in the Champions League Final will seem him go down in Blues folklore and he’s been impressive this season.
He has registered just one goal contribution for Chelsea during this season but his overall play has been largely good.
Havertz checked in at Stamford Bridge during the summer of 2020. He has made 54 appearances for the Blues, scoring 10 goals and registered 10 assists.
Having cost £71 million, a certain level of performance is expected and at 22 there is plenty of time for him to continue his development.
He looks like a real star of the future and Chelsea perhaps signed him from Bayer Leverkusen at the perfect stage of his development.
What did Chelsea fans say about Havertz?
They were pleased to see him in the goals once again last night and the hope is that he can kick on over the next few months with Chelsea.
Werner also netted twice and perhaps he faces a tough task to win over Thomas Tuchel for a place in the Chelsea team.
Havertz takes £150,000-a-week off the Blues and he does look like becoming a seriously good player in the next few years.
In truth, his goal last night was a tap-in but Chelsea fans were still delighted to see him score nonetheless.
Here is what supporters had to say on Twitter about Havertz during last night’s game.
