England reached the quarter-final of Euro 2020 last night as they beat Germany 2-0 at Wembley. Chelsea fans felt that Kai Havertz was the star of the show from a German perspective.
The Blues maestro saw a stunning effort brilliantly saved by Jordan Pickford in the second half. He must have thought he’d given Germany the lead, but he stung the Everton stopper’s palms.
Havertz has enjoyed a pretty decent season at Chelsea. He scored nine goals, claimed nine assists and scored the winning goal in the Champions League Final.

The 22-year-old did perhaps struggle to get completely up to scratch in the Premier League. Now though he’s looking every inch like the £71 million player they signed last summer.
The £140,000-a-week player shone for Germany at Euro 2020. It’s proved a disappointing tournament for Joachim Low’s men, especially after they flopped at the World Cup in 2018.
Havertz checked in at Stamford Bridge from Bayer Leverkusen. He stole the limelight in Germany and looks like being a big player for the national team moving forwards.
Last night, he looked in decent form, despite his team struggling for consistency. Germany looked a patch of their former selves, although with Havertz pulling the string the future does look bright.
Chelsea fans buzzing with Havertz
For Germany it was a night to forget. Havertz though should take some comfort from his individual performance.
He was lively, energetic and looked the most likely player to stick a knife in the hearts of the English faithful.

Clearly he’s going to be a top player and Chelsea fans were delighted with his performance at Wembley yesterday.
Following his performance, supporters took to Twitter. Despite being buzzing over a win for England, they still showcased some sympathy towards their attacking midfielder.
Here is what they had to say about the youngster after his performance for Germany in yesterday’s game.
