Chelsea fans excited after Thomas Tuchel gives Romelu Lukaku update

Chelsea defeated Crystal Palace 3-0 on Saturday and in the aftermath, Thomas Tuchel has suggested Romelu Lukaku could be fit to face Arsenal at the weekend.

The Belgian arrived for a fee in the region of £97 million from Inter this summer. It’s his second stint at Stamford Bridge and Lukaku arrives looking to become a Chelsea favourite.

The man-mountain centre-forward will hope to feature quickly. Tuchel suggested after the game that he could be ready to take on the Gunners.

He told the Evening Standard: “We expect Romelu out of quarantine on Monday and on Tuesday he can join in team training. We will prepare him for Arsenal and hopefully, he can be on the pitch.”

Lukaku was a man on a mission last season. He fired 31 goals in all competitions and created 10 assists as Inter won the Serie A title under Antonio Conte.

The 28-year-old should be in his peak really and it looks like a solid signing for Chelsea. He boasts previous Premier League experience with Everton, West Brom and Manchester United – as well as Chelsea.

Chelsea fans buzzing to see Lukaku play against Arsenal

The Blues will really fancy taking on a delicate Arsenal side. The Gunners were humbled by newly-promoted Brentford and Mikel Arteta has plenty of work to do.

Chelsea have been rampant under Tuchel. They’ve claimed the Champions League, the European Super Cup and have secured a big win in their first match of the season.

All of that has come without Lukaku and having him in the team can only help the cause for the team to kick on.

It seems certain that Chelsea fans can’t wait to see Lukaku in action. Even more so against an Arsenal side who have looked hapless.
