Chelsea fans discuss performance of Trevoh Chalobah during win over Crystal Palace

Chelsea roared out of the blocks during 2021/22 with a stunning 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge. Afterwards, the fan base raved about Trevoh Chalaboh on Twitter.

The youngster rounded off Chelsea’s win with a goal in the 58th minute. Marcos Alonso and Christian Pulisic had fired the Blues into a 2-0 lead at the interval.

Chalobah was handed a start in the Super Cup in midweek. It was seen as a reward for an eye-catching pre-season and Thomas Tuchel kept him in the side for Saturday’s game.

He didn’t disappoint either. He lined up in a back three alongside Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger.

Chalobah has been at Chelsea for a considerable amount of time, rising through the youth ranks. He has also spent time on loan with Lorient, Huddersfield and Ipswich.

Some reports have claimed he could go out on loan again this season. Yesterday’s performance will have given Tuchel some food for thought, however.

Chelsea fans rave about Chalobah

At 22 the youngster really needs to be playing regular football. That is something he’s never done at Chelsea before but he could now be given a new lease of life.

The versatile performer can also operate in midfield ad Tuchel could well decide to keep hold of him after his performances during the last two games.

Certainly, it seems as though some fans wouldn’t be averse to that and plenty would like to see him involved even more.

Following his showing yesterday, supporters took to Twitter to rave about his heroics and praised him for his efforts throughout.
