Chelsea fans discuss links with AC Milan star Franck Kessie

Chelsea are trying to sign AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie. He has recently turned down a contract offer from his current club and can leave for free next summer. Now, Calciomercato claims that the Blues want to sign the Ivory Coast star.

Landing him won’t come easily. PSG are also keen and since they’ve been stockpiling world-class stars this summer, they might just have the edge.

Kessie has been with AC Milan since 2017, initially joining on loan from Atalanta. He has made 184 appearances for the Italian giants, becoming a mainstay in the midfield engine room.

Now, Chelsea could be preparing to pounce. It’s claimed that they are set to offer the midfielder a contract worth around £140,000-a-week to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues lifted the Champions League trophy last season. This season they have added Romelu Lukaku and will have eyes on winning the Premier League.

Kessie will become a very high-profile free agent at the end of the season. Chelsea look to have put themselves in a good position to land him, but must first beat off PSG for his signature.

Chelsea fans would welcome Kessie at Stamford Bridge

It would appear that following these links, Chelsea supporters have responded well. Plenty would have him in West London and hope a deal can be struck.

There are other players who Chelsea fans have in mind, although Kessie is among those who would be welcomed.

Tuchel has plenty of midfielders. As a progressive manager, however, he will want to ensure his team continues to evolve each year.

Kessie, 24, is still at a nice age to continue improving and he’d fit in nicely with how Tuchel likes his teams to play.

Following the links, we looked at what was being said by Chelsea supporters on Twitter regarding the reported interest in Kessie.
