Chelsea fans have flooded social media to react to the latest update regarding Morgan Rogers’ Aston Villa contract situation.
Rogers has shone for Villa since joining from Middlesbrough in January 2024.
He is now a regular feature for the England national team, and his form in the Midlands has attracted interest from around Europe.
TBR Football revealed earlier this month that Aston Villa are in talks with Rogers over a new bumper contract amid interest from the likes of Chelsea and PSG.

Chelsea fans don’t want Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers
News that Rogers could pen fresh terms at Villa Park has resurfaced this week and has prompted an interesting reaction from many Chelsea fans.
Upon hearing he could agree a new deal with Aston Villa, many have suggested the former Boro ace is overpriced and that they don’t need him at Stamford Bridge anyway.
One fan suggested: “We really don’t need him.”
Another told Aston Villa: “We don’t want him. Please give him a 10-year contract if you must.”
“Good, keep him,” a third supporter stated after hearing the news, with a fourth tweeting: “We don’t need this guy.”
A fifth demanded: “Lol, they can keep him. Get me Ferran Torres.”
While another took issue with the reported price tag: “We can’t pay that amount for Morgz, they can hold him.”

How much Aston Villa would have to pay Middlesbrough if they sell Morgan Rogers
Whether the 23-year-old decides to remain at Aston Villa or not is up in the air for the time being.
But should he snub a new contract and move on in one of the coming transfer windows, Middlesbrough will benefit.
Birmingham Live previously reported that the Teessiders put a 20 percent sell-on clause in the deal for the former Manchester City talent.
Rogers is Villa’s most valuable player, with CIES Football Observatory giving him a ‘fair price’ of €106-€123m (around £92m-£106m).
That would see Middlesbrough owed around £18.4m if he were to be sold for a fee on the lower end of that scale.
