Reece James and Trevoh Chalobah rave about £100,000-a-week Chelsea star on Instagram

Chelsea drew 1-1 with Liverpool yesterday in a pulsating Premier League encounter. Kai Havertz fired the Blues into the lead but Mohamed Salah restored parity after Reece James was sent off. Following the game, Antonio Rudiger earned praise on Instagram from James and Trevoh Chalobah.

The German World Cup winner is proving an integral part of Thomas Tuchel’s team. He has been a mainstay under the Frenchman and his performances have caught the eye.

Rudiger signed for Chelsea in 2017 from Roma. He hasn’t always been a regular in the team and has been forced to respond to his critics. He has, however, played 153 times for the club.

The 28-year-old will see his contract expire next summer. With that in mind, he will want to keep up his level of consistency and try and win himself a Stamford Bridge extension.

Right now he’s in form and Tuchel will hope his purple patch can continue for a little while longer. Chelsea won the Champions League last season and Tuchel will have his heart set on the Premier League title this time around.

7 Football Legends: What Would They Be Worth In 2021?

What have James and Chalobah said about Chelsea star Rudiger?

After the game, Rudiger spoke of his pride at the performance with 10-men. James saw red after it was deemed he handled on the line just prior to half-time.

The German was colossus and James and Chalobah both summed up their teammate using one-word replies. One called him the general, whilst the other merely stated he was a machine.

Rudiger earns £100,000-a-week at Stamford Bridge. He is worth every single penny of that on his current form and surely Tuchel will be seeking talks over an extension.

Chelsea have a lot of star men who constantly receive the plaudits. Rudiger is quietly going about his business and continues to slide under the radar for the Blues.
