Chelsea are closing in on the signing of ‘one of the best’ teenagers in the world but could face late competition from Real Madrid, according to a recent report.
The West Londoners have been the Premier League’s biggest spenders since Todd Boehly’s arrival and that is expected to continue this summer.
The Clearlake Capital Group have placed great emphasis on recruiting young talent from the continent and beyond.
That said, it seems they’re about to complete a deal for a promising teenager.

Chelsea close to signing Pedro Lima
According to GiveMeSport, Chelsea are close to signing Sport Recife right-back Pedro Lima.
The Blues are eager to wrap up a deal for the 17-year-old quickly as LaLiga giants Real Madrid loom in the background.
Lima has been monitored all season by Chelsea chiefs and now personal terms have been verbally agreed.
A transfer fee is still being negotiated with the Brazilian outfit but there is a feeling a deal will be agreed imminently.

Chelsea prepare Pedro Lima loan
According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are preparing to send Lima out on loan to sister club RC Strasbourg.
The transfer specialist further notes that club chiefs view Lima as a future first-team player, though, aged only 17, it seems he could be out on loan for the next few seasons.
Patrick Vieira is the current boss of Strasbourg and has played a pivotal role in the development of Angelo and Andrey Santos.
Clearly, they believe the former Palace boss can polish Lima’s skillset before making the step up to the Premier League.
