'Chelsea board now in Poland': Romano has just dropped a huge Saturday Mudryk update

Fabrizio Romano has taken to Twitter to deliver a late shock in the Mykhaylo Mudryk deal, with Chelsea now pushing to do the deal.

Despite everything looking like Arsenal had finally got the deal for Mudryk done, Romano has tweeted out just now to claim Chelsea officials are in Poland trying to thrash out a deal worth close to £100m.

Romano says Arsenal have always been leading the race but now claims Chelsea have moved again to try and get Mudryk from under the Gunners’ noses.

It would be a huge move from Chelsea. The Blues are in dire need of new players at the moment and have already signed Joao Felix. Mudryk, then, would cause ripples of shock in the Premier League.

TBR’s View: Chelsea can’t, can they?

This would send Arsenal fans into meltdown. If they’re beaten by Chelsea now for Mudryk then all hell would break loose.

It seems the Blues want to upset the apple cart and Chelsea feel they’ve got the money to do a deal.

If they pull this off at the last minute, then it is huge. Arsenal will be devastated, while Mudryk will be wondering what on earth has happened. His attitude too, would be interesting, given he’s been pushing for the Arsenal move so much.
