Charlie Nicholas has picked out that Tottenham’s defence still remains an issue of concern for manager Jose Mourinho.
Spurs recorded a 3-2 Premier League win away to West Ham at the weekend, as the Portuguese boss started his reign at the North London club with three points.
But they conceded two late goals to highlight a defensive vulnerability that has existed throughout this campaign so far.
Mourinho has been renowned as a manager for having defensively solid teams and has plenty of work to do with his new side by the looks of it.
Spurs host Olympiacos on Tuesday night in the Champions League group stages and know that a victory will see them reach the knockout rounds.
Sky Sports pundit Nicholas has issued his concern about the defence ahead of the European fixture and named two individuals.
“There are some problems still in defence. I think Serge Aurier is still rash, I am not sure how dedicated Danny Rose is to the cause, and I am unsure on the centre-backs,” Nicholas told Sky Sports.

TBR’s View:
Aurier was given the start during Pochettino’s first game, but the right-back has divided opinion during his time at Spurs and certainly has a mistake in him.
He’s not the type of no-nonsense defender that Mourinho would usually have in his XI and it will be intriguing to see if he keeps a spot moving forward.
Meanwhile, Rose may get a chance to prove himself on Tuesday against Olympiacos, as left-back Ben Davies has been ruled out of the contest through injury.
Rising talent Ryan Sessegnon is another option to come into the team at full-back, but the experienced Rose may get the nod.
