Former Arsenal midfielder Charlie Nicholas wants his old club to recall Alexandre Lacazette to the side and move Dani Ceballos further forward for this Sunday’s north London derby.
As per his Sky Sports column, Nicholas has made it clear he feels Unai Emery needs to trust his players more and get the side back on the front foot.
He said: “Emery does not trust his players enough. He always tends to leave Lacazette out and go with pace. Joe Willock did okay [against Liverpool], but didn’t get on the ball much. You need to go into these games with the best attackers.
“I would always play Lacazette through the middle, Pepe on the right and Aubameyang on the left. Tottenham are nervous at the moment and mistakes always come from these matches. Ceballos needs to be closer to the front three too.”

TBR’s View – Attack is the best form of defence for Emery
The game against Liverpool was a tricky one – should Emery have gone on the front foot and risked a pasting or done what he did and tried to play it tight and counter?
In the end, they avoided the same humiliation as at Anfield last season, but the game this weekend represents a real opportunity to flex their muscles going forward.
Tottenham are a good side but they’re not on top form and Arsenal showed last season what they could do against them when Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are on song.
