Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas expects Harry Kane to escape the struggles at Tottenham with a confidence-boosting evening against Montenegro at Wembley tonight.
He says he expects the England skipper to bag a couple of goals in a 4-0 victory which would seal progression to the European Championship next summer.
He told Sky Sports: “England will get three points. Sometimes a little setback like they had against the Czech Republic, and the ruckus of this week, is good to keep a beat in the air. Everyone is on their toes this week about saying the right thing.
“It will be a great scenario and an easy win for England. Harry Kane could get his confidence up and grab a couple, which I think he will. 4-0.”

TBR’s View – Sterling’s absence intensifies scoring burden on Kane
Kane has been England’s most potent threat for many years now but Sterling’s goalscoring form meant that Gareth Southgate had a two-pronged elite attack.
Sterling being out means Kane may be more tightly marked and increases the burden on him to net the goals, although Marcus Rashford on the left flank is also on hot form.
But England thumped Montenegro 5-1 away from home and should see them off reasonably easily tonight, as Nicholas predicts.
