Bukayo Saka is reportedly close to agreeing a new contract with Arsenal with his current deal due to expire in just over 12 months after an excellent breakthrough campaign – and Charlie Gilmour has urged him to sign a deal on Instagram.
Saka, 18, is set to see his contract expire in the summer of 2021 with Arsenal yet to agree new terms. Some reports have even claimed that some of the Premier League’s biggest sides are tracking Saka ahead of a potential move.
However, The Sun recently claimed in a report The Gunners are ‘confident’ of agreeing a new deal for Saka – and are also targeting Ajax star Nicolas Tagliafico at left-back in order to push Saka further forward into his natural position.
Amid the situation regarding his contract, Saka posted a throwback to his early Arsenal days with a photo that showed him during his development in a Gunners shirt – captioning the post “kid with a dream”.
Gilmour, 21, was an Arsenal teammate of Saka’s during the duo’s time together in the academy and reserve sides – before Gilmour left last summer for Norwich City, after clocking up just two senior appearances for the Gunners.
Somewhat outspoken on social media, Gilmour responded to Saka’s Instagram post by urging the versatile left-footer to “sign da ting”.
