Charlie Cresswell reacts on Instagram as Bryce Hosannah seals Leeds exit
Charlie Cresswell joined a host of Leeds United youngsters past and present in sending a message to Bryce Hosannah on Instagram after the defender completed a move away from Elland Road on deadline day.
Hosannah always looked set to be one of the players moving on from Leeds in the final days of the summer.
Unfortunately, the 22-year-old has been on the periphery for a little while. He has been desperately unlucky with injury in the last few years.
He was a player on Marcelo Bielsa’s radar. The right-back was included in the first-team squad that went on a pre-season tour to Australia in 2019.
More recently, he has been out on loan with Bradford. And it did appear that he was showing some promising signs at Valley Parade.
However, with Leeds continuing to progress, it appeared for a little while that his future probably did indeed lie elsewhere.
And it has now been confirmed that he has joined Wrexham. The move actually sees him link up with Phil Parkinson who was Bantams boss several years ago.
Hosannah has taken to Instagram to express his delight at making the move. And in response, several former teammates sent messages of encouragement.
Leif Davis, Alfie McCalmont and Niall Huggins joined Cresswell in reaching out to the young defender…
Leeds fans will be willing Hosannah to succeed after awful run of luck
The defender certainly appeared to be destined for the first-team fold at one stage as he was coming through the ranks at Thorp Arch.
But injury has been incredibly cruel to Hosannah. So the Leeds fans will be desperately hoping that he can now catch a break and play regularly for his new club.
