Champions League club’s CEO personally contacts Manchester United to ask about signing Jadon Sancho

TBR Football can exclusively reveal that Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho is attracting interest from another club this summer.

The Englishman joined the Red Devils in a £73 million deal in 2021, and he was expected by many fans to take them to the next level.

However, Sancho has just not done enough at Old Trafford, and he has no future under Ruben Amorim at Manchester United.

Now, the Englishman has been contacted by a new club to discuss a potential move.

Inter Milan CEO contacts Manchester United and Jadon Sancho

TBR Football’s chief correspondent, Graeme Bailey, understands that Inter Milan have joined the hunt for Jadon Sancho and have made enquiries for the Manchester United winger.

Inter themselves are looking for a new wide forward and have been trying to agree terms with Atalanta for Ademola Lookman. However, their initial bid for the former Fulham star has been turned down.

The Nerazzuri’s interest in Lookman remains, but we can confirm that they are looking at alternative options on the transfer market.

Sancho, who Chelsea decided against signing this summer, is one of them.

TBR understands that Inter Milan CEO Giuseppe Marotta has had contact with both Manchester United and Sancho to ask about him and what a deal might look like.

We are told that Sancho, who is also the subject of interest from Juventus, is open to moving to Italy next season.

Napoli had also shown an interest in Sancho but have since moved on because they felt they would not be able to agree terms with the player or United. His former club Borussia Dortmund also maintain an interest in the England winger.

Sancho has returned to pre-season training with United but is part of their ‘bomb’ squad of players not involved with the first team. That group includes Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia.

Jadon Sancho could join two former Manchester United players at Inter Milan

As we said above, Sancho is open to a move to Italy, and moves to either Juventus or Inter Milan would be a new challenge for him.

If he agrees to join the Nerazzurri, who will play in the Champions League next season, the England international will team up with two former Manchester United players.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who featured in 63 games for the Red Devils, still plays for Inter Milan, as does Matteo Darmian, who made 92 appearances for the Old Trafford giants.

Both players left Manchester United before Sancho signed for the club – Mkhitaryan joined Arsenal in January 2018, while Darmian left for Parma 18 months later.
