West Ham United have been busy on the transfer front this summer, and now they’re ramping up their activity further.
The Hammers have signed Luis Guilherme, Wes Foderingham and Max Kilman in recent weeks, and more new arrivals should be forthcoming.
West Ham are spinning several plates at present, with Crysencio Summerville, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Niclas Fullkrug all in the Hammers’ sights.
Now, a report from Italy has claimed that one of West Ham’s main suitors for a “dynamic” midfielder are not planning to match the Hammers’ bid.

West Ham offer for Youssouf Fofana not expected to be matched by AC Milan
The player in question is AC Monaco’s Youssouf Fofana, who West Ham have targeted with a €30million bid (£25million), according to reports.
Calciomercato have reiterated that Fofana wants to join AC Milan, but the Rossoneri have ‘no intention’ of even getting close to what West Ham have offered.
Meanwhile, Il Giornale – via Milan News – have reported that Milan are expected to offer €20million next week, along with inserting a 10 percent sell-on clause in the deal.
Hope remains for West Ham
It remains to be seen whether the Serie A side’s new offer would be enough for Monaco, who are currently between a rock and a hard place.
Fofana’s contract expires next summer, so this is their last chance to sell the midfield “leader” – as per Breaking the Lines – for a good price.
However, while West Ham’s offer is good for Monaco, the player wants Milan, whose offers aren’t on par with that of the Hammers.
Should Milan’s latest offer not be enough for the Ligue 1 side, then the door will remain open for Hammers, who should not give up hope.
