Cesc Fabregas has been taking on the age-old challenge of building a dream five-a-side team.
Speaking to SportBible, Fabregas was tasked with picking five modern-day players who would thrive in a small-sided game.
Of course, five-a-side is unlike a full game as it’s much more about close control and quick thinking and only certain players would thrive in such an environment.
Interestingly, Fabregas did find space for a current Arsenal player in his dream five-a-side team.

Cesc Fabregas chooses Arsenal star in his five-a-side team
Fabregaes chose an incredibly technical side, picking Martin Odegaard to play alongside both Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva.
“I will also add Odegaard in there I think, he would be very good. Foden would be very good in five-a-side and Bernardo Silva would be very good,” Fabregas said.
Martin Odegaard would be incredible at five-a-side
If you were to draft a five-a-side team within the Premier League then Odegaard may well be the first player you’d choose.
There may not be a player in the Premier League with better spatial awareness than Odegaard, while his touch is subline as well.
He’s incredible when it comes to turning away from trouble, and he’s also a fantastic finisher, especially when it comes to picking out corners.
There may not be a player in the Premier League we’d pick for our five-a-side team ahead of the £30m Arsenal man.
Fabregas’ other selections were also spot on, Phil Foden has a similar skillset to Odegaard, while Bernardo Silva’s incredible engine would allow him to basically press the opposition non-stop and win the ball back, while also being brilliant on the ball too.
To cap off his time, Fabregas chose Kyle Walker and Kylian Mbappe, and, in our view, that side would be pretty much unbeatable.
