Arsenal and Chelsea played out an enthralling 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night in a crucial clash in the race for European football – and Cesc Fabregas has reacted to the result between his two sides on Twitter.
The drama started just before the hour mark as a mistake from Shkodran Mustafi saw Tammy Abraham through on goal, only to be taken out by David Luiz. Jorginho scored the resulting penalty, and Luiz was sent off.
But Arsenal rallied. On-fire teenage attacker Gabriel Martinelli ran the length of the pitch and took advantage of a slip to score. With the score at 1-1, Chelsea took the lead in the 84th minute as Cesar Azpilicueta scored from a corner.
But three minutes later, captain for the night Hector Bellerin made it 2-2. Cutting inside, the right-back curled home a left-footed effort past Kepa – securing an excellent result for Arsenal who played an hour with 10 men. Fabregas reacted on Twitter.
Love games like this. Both teams went all in. Also very difficult to play that well and be that brave at the bridge with 10 men for the longest part of the game and being in behind twice. Well done @arsenal and @chelsea 👏🏻

TBR’s view – Who will be the happier, Lampard or Arteta?
Chelsea have been in a tricky, inconsistent run of form and a point against Arsenal before the mach would not have been the worst outcome. But Lampard will be frustrated his side failed to capitalise on having an extra man.
Arteta will have been delighted, after a difficult start. Another mistake from his centre-backs saw Luiz sent off, but the fight and aggression he has instilled since taking over was more than evident – something missing under Unai Emery.
Arteta will certainly be the happier of the two managers, after the final whistle.
